Following a fairly successful return to golf this month, Tiger Woods has committed to feature in the 2017 Genesis Open.
The former world number one’s company, TGR Live, is the host of the event that will benefit the Tiger Woods Foundation.
The tournament will be played at the Riviera Country Club in California from February 13-19 and will be the first tournament for Woods since his return at the Hero World Challenge earlier this month.
“I’m very excited to come back to Riviera and compete in the Genesis Open,” said the 14-time major winner.
“This is where it all started for me. It was my first PGA TOUR event. I was 16 years old, I weighed about 105 pounds. It was a life-changing moment for me.
“It’s an honor to have TGR Live running this historic event that will benefit my foundation.”
Woods enjoyed a patchy event in the Bahamas at the Hero World Challenge, leading the field in birdies but only managing four under par in the end, 14 shots off the pace.
