Thirty Professionals on Cue for OBJ Tourney

Thirty professional Golfers have been penciled down to feature in the 2017 OBJ Golf Championship slated for Friday March 24 at the Abeokuta Golf Club, Ogun State.

Former Nigeria Open Champion, Lateef Lasisi, who is also the host club captain leads the 18-holes charge by the professional where a N1 million purse has been staked for their outing.

Some of the top players billed for action includes; Ikemefuna Vincent from Ikoyi Golf Club, Emeka Obi of Ibadan Golf Club, Paul Patrick of Shagamu Golf Club and Sunday Olopade of MicCom Golf Club in Ada. Being a one-day event for the pros, it hence would not be a ranking event for them, however will serve a good warm –up round for the forthcoming event at the St. Mark Golf Club in Otukpo, Benue State.

More than 120 amateur players are also expected to jostle for positions at the OBJ Tournament after the professionals round.

The amateur would be drawn from different clubs in Ogun, Lagos, Osun, Oyo, Kwara and Edo state among others. Their games would be concluded over 36-holes.
